Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or Material Safety Datasheet (MSDS) Contain the information needed to warn of possible hazards to your health or well-being from exposure to chemicals or substances. It explains the chemical composition, safety measures for handling or transporting the chemical and recommends first aid precautions.
Suppliers of chemicals review and update safety data sheets as necessary, whether new information comes to light or a new hazard is found. It’s encouraged to always keep a file of your safety data sheets available for all staff to read, whether you have them in a binder or digitalised for the staff in your workplace. They should know and be able to access safety data sheets on the chemicals used at your facility at all times.
“documents that provide critical information about hazardous chemicals. For example, they include information on:
the chemical’s identity and ingredients
health and physical hazards
safe handling and storage procedures
emergency procedures
disposal considerations.”
At Aromatic Ingredients, compliance is a top priority and we constantly communicate with our manufacturers to ensure up to date information on the most current SDS. If you need more information about the ingredients you use, contact the sales department to find out the latest material about your products.
